Who must subscribe

Employees in the private sector and federal government, with exemptions for investors who own their business, domestic workers, temporary workers, retirees receiving a pension who have joined a new job, and those under 18.

Categories

Premiums and benefits depend on basic salary, with a lower category for basic salary up to AED 16,000 per month and a higher one above it.

Fines

Employees who fail to subscribe face fines, which can be deducted from end-of-service benefits.
