Partner visa and investor visa

The terms are often used interchangeably. In practice, the visa category depends on the jurisdiction and the owner's role: mainland companies commonly issue partner visas to shareholders, while free zones issue investor or shareholder visas. The benefits are the same: residence for you and the right to sponsor your family.

Requirements

  • You appear as a shareholder on the trade licence and MOA
  • The company has an establishment card and available quota
  • A tenancy or office meeting the authority's rules
  • Medical fitness test and Emirates ID biometrics

Validity

Usually two years, renewable with the licence. See Investor and partner visa for the full process.

Common questions

Can there be more than one partner visa per company?
